The "Eco-Innovation · Green Action" International Young Talents Innovation Competition & Eco-City "Innovation Star" Competition (International Youth Green Innovation Competition) is jointly presented by the China-Singapore Tianin Eco-City Administrative Committee (ECAC) and the Sino-Singapore Tianiin Eco-City Investment and Development Co.,Ltd.(SSTEC) as the public welfare innovation and entrepreneurship event. It was formerly known as the National Varsity "Eco-Innovation · Green Action" Competition, and has been organised annually by SSTEC since 2011. The Competition aims to encourage youth to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship in environmental protection and smart development, and uncover more green, innovative & practical solutions for development of eco-cities. To support the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City's vision to become an Upgraded National Green Development Demonstration Zone, the Competition also seeks to attract more quality projects and excellent talents from home and abroad, and inject greater vibrancy into the Eco-City. As of 2025, the Competition has been held for 14 consecutive editions, which has received 1,648 innovative and implementable entries from 557 participants (enterprises, universities, teams and individuals) from 106 cities in China and other countries.

The Competition actively responds to China's call to achieve the dual carbon goals, while also fully implements the innovation-driven development strategy. It has always been well aligned with the Eco-City's positioning as China's "National Green Development Demonstration Zone" and focused on the key priorities in the green development of the Eco-City. The Competition also embodies ECAC and SSTEC’s continued efforts to be socially responsible, and showcases the Eco-City's achievements as a pioneer in eco-city development and as a sustainability advocate and practitioner.
